Interview with Amy Wallace- 4/13/13 in Buffalo, NY

Last Saturday I trekked all the way to Buffalo, NY to interview someone on the other side of the gun control debate, a courageous and passionate advocate for sensible gun control named Amy Wallace. Amy is the head of the NY/Western and Buffalo branch of Moms Demand Action, a nationwide grassroots movement formed in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings.

Amy had a lot of powerful and enlightening things to say during our hour plus interview, so it was difficult to edit all that power into one short clip, but her presence will be felt in the final version of this film.
Below is the clip from my interview with Amy:

Ashley's Charity- 1/29/13

When we think of gun users, we usually don't associate philanthropy as one of their values, but Ashley Butcher, who I interviewed on the first shoot, bucks the stereotypical stigmas of gun culture. She has a generous heart, starting her own charity called "Clays For Heroes." But I'll let her discuss the details.

Third Day of Shooting-March 23, 2013

Third Day of Shooting- 1/23/13

Yesterday, I returned to Rochester Brooks Gun Club, the site of my first day of shooting to capture more interviews with some competitive youth shooters. I encountered lots of gunfire, interesting discussions with the adult members of the club and two bright young skeet shooters, named Kyle and Nick, who were kind enough to grant me interviews. Kyle and Nick are a part of a team of competitive youth shooters who use guns purely for sport. Below is a clip from the interview with Kyle.

Second Day of Shooting- March 7, 2013-

I had the pleasure of interviewing a very interesting local Ithaca resident by the name of Dick Trim, an auto mechanic who runs a shop in town. Dick has many passions in life, from riding his vintage Harley to fixing up classic cars, but his main love is acting in Civil War reenactments, where he gets to dress up like a Confederate soldier and relive history with his close friends. Ever since he was a child, Dick has been around guns, and he had a lot to say about the history of guns in the U.S. and the modern culture of guns.

Below is a clip from the interview with Dick. More to come soon.
